  Plasteco's Model 397 has been specifically designed for installation on the Joist Rider Curb. The Model 397 is engineered in compliance with ASTM tests for air and water infiltration in addition to positive and negative loads.


 

Skylights shall be Model 397-7296 (or 7272; 6060) as manufactured by Plasteco, Inc., Houston, TX (800-231-6117; toll free fax 877-231-6117). Skylight frames shall be mill finish 6035-T5 extruded aluminum. Gasket shall be EPDM and all sealants butyl. The outer dome shall be from 6mm thick clear acrylic and inner dome formed of 4.5mm white translucent acrylic.

Model 397-7296 shall have no water entry when subjected to ASTM E331-96. When tested to ASTM E283 no more than 0.14 cfm/ft2air infiltration when subjected to 0.56 psf and 0.25 cfm/ft2 when subjected to 1.56 psf.. The model 397-7296 shall be tested to 100-105 psf under ASTM E330-96 positive load and 90 psf under ASTM E300-96 negative load.

 

 

Joist Rider Curb shall be Model JR6096 (or 6060; 7296; 7272) as manufactured by Plasteco. Inc., Houston, TX (800-231-6117; toll free fax 877-231-6117). The curb shall be 14" high and formed of 16 gauge steel. The interior of the curb and fall protection grill shall be powder coated white. The curb shall have a treated 2 x 4 wood nailer and 1-1/2" thick R-10 rigid closed cell polyscocyanurate foam core board. The curb shall have a nimumum 4" flange on all four sides. The Joist Rider Curb shall have a fall protection grill consisting of 1/2" diameter steel bars welded at each intersection of a nominal 6" x 6" grid. The 6" x 6" steel grid provides compliance to OSHA Regulation 29 CFR 1910.501 "Duty to have fall protection".
