Models 417-MB & 418-MB

Plasteco Models 417-MB and 418-MB double wall automatic melt-out (drop-out) heat and smoke vents have FM approval which requires that the plastic glazing will melt-out (drop-out) in less than 5 minutes at a temperature not exceeding 500 degrees F.
Models 417-MB and 418-MB double wall are for mounting on standing seam metal roofs.

Specifications: Automatic Melt-Out Heat and Smoke Vents shall be FM approved single glazed Model 417-MB (Model 418-MB double glazed) as manufactured by Plasteco, Inc.
Units shall have a 12 inch double wall 1” thick insulated aluminum curb. The curb flange on the upside shall have a minimum width of 8 inches with water diverter and cell caps to fit under the roof panel and standing seam roof profile. The curb flange on the low side and cell cap is designed to fit over the roof panel and standing seam.
Glazing shall be white translucent acrylic designed to withstand a 10 psf snow load. (Model 418-MB double-glazed shall have inner pyramid of clear acrylic.
Fall protection as required by OSHA Regulation 29 CFR 1910.23 (e)(8) shall be provided by FallGuard Skylight Screens. FallGuard Skylight Screens shall be shipped separately and installed prior to the installation of the melt-out heat and smoke vent.
Add Alternate: Hail Stone Screen- Unit shall have a 1/2” x 1/2” x .063” galvanized welded wire mesh overlaid onto FallGuard Skylight Screens to reduce hail damage to skylights.
